Summary, Press and Reviews

WHAT WOULD YOU DO if you had the chance to erase your past and reinvent yourself as the person you’ve always wanted to be?  Would you grab it?  Would you stick with it, no matter what the consequences?

Cara Leonard always wished she could be one of  those girls: confident, self-possessed, and never at a loss for the perfect thing to say.  One of the Populazzi.

It always seemed impossible… but now could be her chance.

When Cara moves to a new school just before junior year, her best friend urges her to seize the opportunity and change her life… with the help of The Ladder.  Its rungs are relationships, and if Cara transforms herself into the perfect girlfriend for guys higher and higher on the Popularity Tower, she can reach the ultimate goal: Supreme Populazzi, the most popular girl in school.

The Ladder seems like a lighthearted social experiment — a straight climb up — but it quickly becomes gnarled and twisted.  And when everything goes wrong, only the most audacious act Cara can think of has a chance of setting things even a little bit right.

You must make a second book. I beg you! I loved the book, it was great. Flirty, funny and unexpected. I was actually expecting her to end up with Nate. :$ Awks. Poppulazzi is by far one of the best books I’ve read up to date.

  • Hunter.

Agreed. I hoped it was going to be Nate. He’s Tottaly hot!.. :$ And also i believe you should make a sequel too, i was hoping to hear more about Cara.

  • Jess Miller

OMG! I thought i was the only one. Thank god. Nate, was like OMG!. I usually have a pull towards the bad boys and not so much the sweet guys. (Bad boys usually end up being Sweet anyway!) I would keep re-reading all the Nate parts, just cause i loved him so much. <3

Nate was not cool. He jumped on her too fast! Did anyone else catch that he was humping her when she can over the second time! I personally hate Archer too. I mean I don’t mean to be rasist but he’s black!! Coca color as it said in the book, and she is white! What will their kids look like! They will be mixed. The ending sucked too. Don’t get me wrong I like the book I would just change a lot about it!
